It’s safe to say that Simon Cowell is among the most recognizable names in the music business. He amassed a fortune throughout the years due to his skill and acumen in business.
One Direction and Kelly Clarkson may not have become household names if not for this guy and his talent-finding reality programs. Before becoming a judge on Pop Idol in 2001, Simon worked as a music producer, consultant, and scout in the 1980s.

Simon took use of the show’s popularity to launch two more talent competition series that have now become massive hits throughout the world: The X Factor and Got Talent. Twice, in 2004 and 2010, he was recognized as one of the world’s 100 most important people.
